Summary: supervise concrete crews and manage onsite construction activities on multiple large, extensive commercial projects including work performed by sub-contracted vendors.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain project safety in accordance with all safety requirements, enforce all policies and set a culture of Safety 24/7 for your crews.
- Construct the project in accordance with the plans, specifications and standard work practices.
- Work with estimating and preconstruction to ensure estimates and budgets for concrete work are complete and accurate.
- Work closely with the project team to ensure all required paperwork and documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Leads and manages several Foremen with self-perform crews to work safely, productively, and takes pride in quality.
- Plan work schedule, both short and long term, determining manpower levels, material quantities, and equipment for the crews.
- Assists the Project Manager in pull planning putting the Primavera P6 project schedule together
- Responsible for coordinating and scheduling of subcontractors that are involved with or affected by your scope of work.
- Maintain schedule to avoid unnecessary overtime and cost over-runs. Ensure that craft time entry is completed to accurately reflect hours worked.
- Cost and budget control, including projections associated with concrete and associated work items.
- Coordinate the delivery, storage and efficient use of project materials relative to the concrete scope of work.
- Schedule and coordinate all rental and owned equipment necessary for the concrete scope of work.
- Ensure that all lay out is accurate and that information is conveyed to all trades being performed.
Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to understand and interpret safety laws and company policies/standards.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and other technical drawings and documents.
- Must have project management and organizational planning skills.
- Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with people of all knowledge levels.
- Must be able to lead and work as part of a team.
- Must have prior direct profit and loss responsibility and accountability.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and client-relationship development skills.
- Must have a thorough understanding of basic construction management processes and building techniques.
- Ability to assemble long term manpower projections and 3-week schedules in Microsoft Excel or other programs and the use of Microsoft Word for pre-planning processes or willingness to learn.
- Experienced with erecting multi story concrete structures containing rebar and post-tension structural assemblies.
- Experienced with various types of formwork, shoring systems, and their assembly, used for cast in place concrete structures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, plus demonstrated ability to manage a team of varied self-performing trade disciplines.
Education and Experience:
- Four-year engineering or construction management degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience progressing through the ranks as a Journeyman to a Foreman and a Superintendent.
- Knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings and other documents, plus ability to supervise and evaluate craft performance is essential.
Certifications and Licenses:
- Must have valid driver's license, good driving record required.
